Tailored for Hampton Roads
At the core of TRAFFIX’s efforts is the Vanpool Assistance program, which offers three financial assistance programs for vanpools. This longstanding support significantly reduces monthly transportation expenses, making daily commuting more affordable.
With the TRAFFIX vanpool program, commuters use a 7-15 passenger vehicle owned by a third-party leasing company to share a ride to work. The total cost, which includes insurance, maintenance, fuels and tolls, is divided amongst the riders. TRAFFIX currently has an agreement with Commute with Enterprise.
Comprehensive Commuter Solutions
TRAFFIX offers a variety of vanpool assistance programs.
- Financial Stability with Flat Rate Monthly Stipend: The $500 flat rate monthly stipend is available for all vanpools leased through Commute with Enterprise. All vanpools must be registered with TRAFFIX to receive any stipend.
- Facilitating New Vanpools with Van Start: Van Start, a unique TRAFFIX feature, facilitates the creation of new vanpools, offering temporary financial assistance during the startup phase of a new vanpool.
- Eco-Friendly Practices with Van Save: Van Save is available for existing vanpools during the event of a loss of passengers. This is available for up to four months, depending on the size of the vanpool.
