Regional Transit Agencies
Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) is the leading transit agency for Hampton Roads. Transit modes include local and express buses, ferry, light rail, and paratransit. The bus system serves the cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton and Chesapeake.
Suffolk Transit provides six fixed-routes throughout the core downtown Suffolk area. All buses are equipped with bicycle racks and wheelchair lifts for handicapped or mobility impaired individuals.
Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) is a multi-jurisdiction transportation agency providing transit bus and ADA Paratransit services in the City of Williamsburg, James City County, York County in the Historic Triangle area, and Surry County.
