Upgraded Vanpool Stipends and Benefits: Enhancing Your Commuting Experience

We want to take a moment to share some exciting news and improvements to our vanpool program that we believe will make your commuting experience even better. At TRAFFIX, we’re all about ensuring that vanpooling remains an affordable and convenient option for all. We’re pleased to announce some enhancements to our vanpool stipend program, effective July 1, 2023.
Monthly Stipend Increase
In order to provide greater financial support to our vanpool participants, we have increased the monthly vanpool stipend to a flat rate of $500 for all current and future vanpools. This adjustment reflects our commitment to ensuring that vanpooling remains an accessible and viable transportation option for everyone.
Updating VanStart and VanSave Programs
We understand that every vanpool group is unique, and costs can vary due to vacant seats. Instead of the usual fixed rate, these stipends now align with the actual cost of the vacant vanpool seats. This tailored approach has been designed with your individual needs in mind.
Guaranteed Ride
Life can be unpredictable, and we’ve got you covered. Whether it’s a family emergency, illness, or unscheduled overtime, our Guaranteed Ride program will get you home from work when one of life’s unexpected events happen.
For working adults who carpool, vanpool, or use public transit for their daily commute, the Guaranteed Ride program ensures a reliable way to get back to your point of origin in case of emergencies. To be eligible for this program, you must be a TRAFFIX member, work in the Hampton Roads region, and record your work commutes with the TRAFFIX app or website.
