Friday, May 21 is Bike to Work Day. Celebrate with TRAFFIX staff at these events!

7:00am – 9:00am – Downtown Norfolk Bike to Work Day! 

TRAFFIX team will have a table set-up near the Ferry Dock providing TRAFFIX materials and bike related promo items such as bike lights, hand sanitizers, sports water bottles, bicycle tire repair kits, and t-shirts to bike commuters getting on/off the ferry. TRAFFIX team will practice social distancing by using bike graphic stencils to keep commuters 6 feet apart. Visit one or all six pit stops throughout NFK and pick up water, snacks and bike freebies from 7am-9am. Pit Stops will be located at:  MacArthur Square Tide Station, Elizabeth River Ferry Dock, * The Plot, Elizabeth River Trail at Orapax Street & Raleigh Avenue, Colley Avenue at Local Bike Shop and ODU Webb Center. For more information: https://www.downtownnorfolk.org/explore/calendar/event/bike-to-work-day

9:00am – 10:00am – Virginia Beach Bike with the Mayor

12:00pm – 1:00pm – Portsmouth Lunchtime Bike Ride

The Annual Lunchtime Bike Ride takes place in May as a part of National Bike Month.  It’s a reminder to get outside and get some exercise now that the weather is turning warmer.  It’s a two mile ride around Olde Towne and Park View giving riders a chance to meet other riders and to enjoy Portsmouth’s one-of-a-kind waterfront views and historic homes.
